Villages
Experience the ambience of the villages surrounding Orange. Within the area of Orange you'll find the small villages of March to the north, Lucknow and Shadforth to the east and Spring Hill, Huntley and Spring Terrace to south.
Take your time to explore the history of days gone by in the old mining town of Lucknow, where gold was found in 1851. A reminder of the past is the Wentworth Main Mine, which relates to the 1890s and 1930s mining booms and the two poppet heads that still loom in the sky. Walking tour of Lucknow
The small villages of Spring Hill and Spring Terrace were predominantly farming communities. As the town of Spring Hill developed, businesses were established. You are invited to explore the history of Spring Hill by following the walking trail. Walking Tour of Spring Hill
