I would like to see the Councillors work together more effectively to ensure ratepayers' money goes further and is spent wisely.
I believe there should also be more transparency within Council to keep residents informed of what their representatives are working on and how their rates are being used.
I think Orange has the potential to expand over the next few years, and I'd like to see the Council capitalise on opportunities to bring new development to the City.
A key factor is this future expansion is 'water'.
I believe working hard on developing new sources of water will also make sure Orange has a secure economic future. The building of the Macquarie River pipeline and the raising of the dam wall at Suma Park are two projects I've been strongly committed to and I'm pleased steady progress has been made on these two initiatives.
As well as the 'bread-and-butter' work of improving roads and developing a pioneering waste disposal system, Orange residents can be proud its city council delivers a broad range of social services and recreational facilities.
Whether it's extra options for child care or a top-class sports venue like Wade Park, the current leadership team at Orange City Council has delivered the goods for local residents.
