Bill's Bush Tours

Bill’s Bush Tours showcase Orange City Council’s “Parks Alive” community environmental projects.

Bill standing next to Bill's Bush Tours Bus.The tours, conducted in a small bus with a guide, provide the opportunity for community members to inspect various natural areas under Orange City Council’s care and control where revegetation / rehabilitation works have been undertaken in the past or are planned for the future.

The tour highlights some of the advantages of undertaking environmental works, which include :

  • the establishment of wildlife corridors,
  • leading to increased biodiversity,
  • improved water quality through reinstatement of native vegetation along streams and wetlands and
  • a general improvement in the overall environmental health in and around our City.

It is anticipated that by inspecting successful environmental projects first hand, that community members will become inspired and involved in one of Council’s “Parks Alive” community environmental engagement projects.

Bill’s Bush Tours occur on the first Tuesday of each month, leaving the Visitor Information Centre at 11 am and returning at 2pm. A barbecue lunch is provided. There is no cost to participate on the tour. To reserve a seat on the bus, call Bill Josh on 0428 386 549 to book.
