ABOUT CHOICES AT HOME STAFF:
The Community Development and Support Coordinator oversees these services and is located in the Home And Community Care (HACC) building at 286 Lords Place. The postion provides support and supervision to the Ageing and Disability Services Team and is responsible to Council for the management of the Home and Community Care Centre.
The Community Support and Resource Officer provides information to members of the target group who are seeking support. She is involved in the identification of needs in the community and assists in the development of appropriate services in response to identified need. Facilitating and partipating in several committees, this position is the link between the Ageing and Access Community Committee and the Council (see below).
The Ageing and Access Community Committee is a Council led committee that provides a forum to raise issues relating to older people and people living with disability. The committee supports the provision of accessible facilities in Orange and encourages members of the community to bring to the attention of Council any access issues that may then be addressed at a Council level.
