Keep your kids active and entertained with a range of activities available during school holidays and throughout each term. We have heaps of free and low-cost programs on offer during school terms and holidays for all ages. Try new things, learn new skills, get crafty, and build friendships. Your kids can do it all. Activities are separated into age groups, suit a range of interests and skills and are hosted by different teams throughout Orange including Youth Development, Central West Libraries, Orange Regional Gallery and the Orange Regional Museum.

Orange Regional Museum

The museum showcases local history exhibitions alongside a program of the best travelling exhibitions from across Australia, presenting diverse topics including history, science, technology and culture. The Museum offers an extensive program of activities each school holidays. Groundstone Cafe is nearby for coffee and lunch.

Orange Regional Gallery

Orange Regional Gallery offers a range of creative education programs linked to its exhibitions and collections. From tailored school visits and an extensive range of school holiday workshops for children to talks, tours, special events and art-making workshops—the Gallery is a place for learning, at any age.

Orange Aquatic Centre

Swim all year round! The Aquatic Centre features a heated outdoor 50-metre pool, an indoor 25-metre pool and a children’s leisure pool (heated to a balmy 28 degrees all year round), a diving pool with diving boards and a 10m tower.

Open: Monday to Friday, 5.30am to 7.30 pm, Saturday 5.30am to 7pm, Sunday 8am to 7pm.

Orange Youth Hub

The Youth Hub is for 12 to 24-year-olds and provides a safe space for young people to hang out and socialise. It offers programs including music programs, life skills, volunteering & sports programs as well as daily activities including ping pong, pool, art and basketball.

Orange City Library

The sky’s the limit for kids at the Library, with loads of activities such as Storytime, Book Club, Lego Club, Music for Little Ears, Ten Minutes a Day, and 1, 2 Books! The library has a huge range of books, magazines, DVDs and board games to borrow and offers a wide variety of school holiday activities.

Orange Civic Theatre

Orange Civic Theatre’s diverse annual program of local, national and international touring productions includes many fun shows for children, as well as hosting some of our youngest local performers in school productions, dance concerts and the annual City of Orange Eisteddfod.

Carl Sharpe Indoor Cricket Centre

Kids can hone their cricketing skills at the Carl Sharpe Indoor Cricket Centre. Open to the general public the centre provides opportunities for skill development in all areas of the game and the chance to practice your skills with your friends and family.

Orange PCYC

PCYC Orange offers a range of activities for kids including, Gymnastics, Music, Basketball, Netball, Hockey, Futsal, Zumba and a range of Group Fitness Classes including a program specifically designed for kids. PCYC Orange also runs a variety of safe, fun and inclusive school holiday activities for primary and high school students.
