Orange City Council has established a network of Community Committees and task groups to help guide the development of council policy in key areas and to stay in touch with community insights and experience.

Click on the name of each Community Committee to find out more about:

  • Its purpose
  • Draft Charter
  • The chair of the Committee
  • Contact details for the City Council staff member who works with that committee
  • More resources assembled by that Community Committee

The membership of any of the committees is renewed at the start of each new council term (after a council election).

New members for Committees

Orange City Council wants to hear from community members who are interested in serving on a Community Committee. There are currently more than twenty community committees. These small groups provide a source of information and discussion to feed into the decision-making of Orange City Council.

At the start of each new council term, the membership of committees (even for previous members) begins again, and depends on potential volunteers expressing their interest, and completing a form which can be found below.

Committees are usually only open to new members when vacancies occur.

When occasional vacancies occur in community committees, this the Expression of interest (EOI) form to be completed. You can download the EOI – Community Committees form, print it, fill it in and return the form to the council.
