School Holiday Program: Mystery Bag Invention Challenge

A Mystery Bag challenge for budding engineers!

Use your problem solving skills to invent a mini machine to help one of the people featured in photographs in Orange Regional Museum’s exhibition All in a Day’s Work.

Each child will receive:

  • a Challenge Card with a photograph from the exhibition and a problem to solve; and
  • a Mystery Bag packed with assorted materials to invent a tool or machine to meet the challenge!

Come along for some hands on creative problem solving.

Two separate sessions will be held – 10am-11.30am and 1pm-2.30pm. This workshop will be held in the Activity Space within Orange Regional Museum.

Suitable for kids aged 6-12.

Requirements and Conditions

Bookings are essential and spaces are limited.

Please note that children and their work are sometimes photographed during our workshops. Images may be used for promotional purposes on Council’s website, social media or publications. By attending the workshop, you are agreeing to these terms. If you would prefer that your child was not included in these photographs please let us know at the beginning of the workshop.
