At Orange Toastmasters you’ll find a supportive, learn-by-doing environment that allows you to achieve your goals at your own pace. Our mission is to provide a friendly, warm and supportive environment to enable all members to develop their public speaking and leadership skills.

Orange Toastmasters meets every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month from 7-9pm at the Orange Ex-Services Club in the Borneo Room, 241-243 Anson Street. Visitors are very welcome so come along and join us at our next meeting!

GALLERY SCHOOL HOLIDAY WORKSHOP – SUN PRINTS with Cecilie Knowles

Inspired by Bill Moseley’s exhibition A Lake, a Forest and the Dark Voice of the Sea this workshop introduces young artists to the vintage photographic process of cyanotype—a simple, safe (and slightly magical) process that harnesses the power of the sun. Starting with a mini tour of the exhibition, students will learn about the artist’s ideas and processes before heading back to the studio to create their own series of beautiful blue photograms.

GALLERY SCHOOL HOLIDAY WORKSHOP – DAYS OF SUMMER – Lino with Laretta Goodacre

Taking inspiration from Salvatore Zofrea’s lively lino print exhibition Days of Summer young artists will learn to prepare, cut and print lino blocks of their own. Students will experiment with different techniques to add colour and texture to their work and create their own set of limited edition prints to take home. This workshop includes a mini tour of Salvatore Zofrea: Days of Summer.

Orange Regional Museum – School Holiday Activity: Family Tour of Underworld

Join us for a family-friendly guided tour of our current exhibition Underworld: Mugshots from the Roaring Twenties. Dress up as a flapper or rogue, listen to some of the fabulous stories behind these 1920s photos and then explore the exhibition in a scavenger hunt.

Once the tour finishes, drop in to our Activity Space and spend some time creating your own fashion pieces inspired by the Roaring Twenties.

Tour runs approximately 10am-10.30am, with drop-in craft in the Activity Space from 10.30am-11.30am.

This program is suitable for kids and carers of all ages. Children must be supervised by an accompanying adult at all times.

Requirements and Conditions

Bookings are essential via Eventbrite and spaces are limited.

Please note that children and their work are sometimes photographed during our tours. Images may be used for promotion purposes on Council’s website, social media or publications. By attending the tour, you are agreeing to these terms. If you would prefer that your child was not included in these photographs please let us know at the beginning of the tour.

Underworld: Mugshots from the Roaring Twenties is a travelling exhibition from Sydney Living Museums, presented by Orange Regional Museum until 1 March 2020.
