Orange City Council is seeking community comment about a decision to name three new streets in a residential estate in south Orange.
The new roads are to be called Clearview Crescent, Manchurian Place and Montrose Street.
The new streets are located in the Clearview Estate in the Shiralee precinct off Rifle Range Road.
Clearview is the historic property name of the land which is being developed, dating back from 1917. Manchurian and Montrose are pear and apricot tree varieties that grow in the local area.
Under state regulations (Section 162 of the Roads Act 1993) the Council is required to inform the community about new street names by placing an item on the council website.
Any community feed-back can be sent to to the Council’s Engineering dept.
