As Orange Regional Gallery gears up for an exciting redevelopment, its website has also undergone a transformation and is live at a new location, www.orange.nsw.gov.au/gallery.
Orange Mayor Reg Kidd said the new website offered a broad insight into one of the city’s main cultural attractions.
“Orange Regional Gallery has a strong reputation as a leading regional gallery and this fresh new website will serve it well as it becomes a state of the art facility,” Cr Reg Kidd said.
While the gallery is closed ahead of the $4.8 million extension project, Director Brad Hammond is looking forward to keeping the public up to date with its progress through the new website and showcasing the work of the gallery in future.
“With Orange Regional Gallery entering a new chapter with its extension project, this seemed like the perfect opportunity to redesign our website,” he said.
“The new site is user-friendly and aesthetic, providing a great new platform to promote our upcoming exhibitions, education programs and events, while providing online access to our wonderful collections.
“We’re also looking forward to sharing more highlights from the Gallery’s 35-year history.”
The new website is easy to navigate, with a central events page, a place to donate to the gallery’s fundraising activities, and interactive educational resources.
It also features a section dedicated to the extension, with information on the design, video animations of each area and regular project updates.
Eventually, the gallery’s entire collection will be available to view on the website.
