Eastside plan up for discussion

As part of the Future City project, Orange City Council is developing a precinct plan for an area east of the rail corridor south of Bathurst Road, to be known as the CBD Eastern Precinct.

With the Department of Primary Industries relocating to Prince Street and some motor showrooms also relocating the precinct plan provides a timely opportunity to guide potential redevelopment of this important area.

As well as commercial potential the precinct plan illustrates opportunities for additional housing to be included to increase activity and vibrancy in the CBD as a whole.

The precinct plan is now on public exhibition for a period of 28 days. Full details are available for inspection at the civic centre and can be downloaded from these links:
