Welcome to the Seniors Village Hub
The Seniors Village Hub is a place for older people to take part in inclusive activities, maintain health and wellbeing, socialise with likeminded people or simply enjoy a cuppa and a chat with friends.
Led by Project Team Leader Sam Vennard and the Seniors Village Hub Steering Committee, supported by Orange City Council’s Community Services, the Village Hub offers a range of programs that aim to increase wellness and reduce social isolation often experienced by people as they get older.
Take part in interesting workshops, learn new things and share your skills, interests and experiences with each other in a supportive and resilient community. For a low annual membership fee, members can access activities that contribute to positive mental and physical health.
Who can participate?
Residents and visitors over 55 years (or 50 years and over for Indigenous Australians) in the Orange, Blayney and Cabonne local government areas. Local non-government agencies, community organisations, service providers, educators and professionals, Orange Local Aboriginal Lands Council, Orange Culture Hub and Council employees.
How can I get involved?
Become a member: You and your friends can become members and share in all the resources and activities the Village Hub has to offer.
Become a volunteer: Do you have a skill or interest you would like to share with others? Why not run a regular class or workshop. Or join the Steering Committee and help shape the Village Hub.
