Roads closed after heavy overnight snowfalls

After the heaviest snow fall in many years in Orange, there are number of impacts today:

UPDATE 1.20 PM:
The Mitchell Highway has re-opened between Orange and Bathurst.
The Escort Way has also re-opened to traffic.
**UPDATE** 10:55am: The Mitchell Highway between Orange and Bathurst is closed at the Millthorpe turn-off.
**UPDATE** 10:30am: The Mid Western Highway between Bathurst and Blayney is closed at Fitzgerald’s Mount.
A fallen tree is blocking the road near 951 Pinnacle Road.
Orange airport will be closed for the rest of the day. The closure will be reviewed in the morning.

**UPDATE** 10am: Mitchell Highway between Orange and Bathurst closed at Vittoria.

All major highways are open. Check Live Traffic.

The Cargo Road is closed at the Cabonne/Orange Council boundary (Whitton Place) for westbound traffic and at Cargo village (for eastbound and traffic).

Escort Way is closed at Jonathan Road.

Pinnacle Road is closed at Shiralee Road.

Canobolas Road is closed at Pheasants Lane

Council tree crews are working to clear Clergate road after a tree fell across the road. It will open soon.

No school buses are running in Orange today. Check your school’s social media page for arrangements today.

Today’s Seniors Expo has been postponed.
