Sewage Treatment

Orange City Council operates a modern and extensive network of sewer mains and pipes and a well-equipped sewage treatment works. This system is a significant part of the services the City Council offers to promote the good health of the community.

Keeping your sewer system working well
All community members can play a part in keeping our network of sewer pipes operating well.

What items should be flushed down a toilet or washed down a sink?
Orange City Council’s sewers are designed to transport wastewater from sinks, baths and toilets. This waste water should only contain toilet paper and human waste.
