On Sunday 19 March from 12pm to 2pm, family and kids are invited to attend a free barbecue at the Orange Youth Hub and discover what the Youth Hub is all about.
Orange Mayor Jason Hamling said that this open day is a very good opportunity for everyone to come and learn more about the Orange Youth Hub.
“I am looking forward to welcoming everyone at the Youth Hub open day,” Cr Hamling said.
“This open day is an opportunity for everyone to learn more about the Youth Hub and to meet the staff who do amazing work keeping the kids entertained and busy.”
“The Youth Hub open day provides an opportunity for community to explore the Hub looking at what services, programs and activities it offers our young people.”
Orange Youth Services has recently received a grant from the New South Wales Government. The new program will be run out of different locations and for different cohort of people.
“The Hub provides what kids need with plenty of activities and things to do. The activities include music, pool competitions, craft activities, ping pong, basketball, and video game,” Cr Hamling said.
During the open day, a free barbecue is planned along with some music and a complete tour of the Youth Hub.
“I really invite everyone from the Orange community during this fun and free lunch to discover all the good that the Youth Hub do to our community,” Cr Hamling said.
Orange Youth Hub located at Garema Road is funded by the NSW Government in association with Orange City Council.
The Orange Youth Hub is open all year for young people aged from 12 to 24, 5 days a week from 4pm until 7pm. All activities are free. The Hub also offers events and activities during School Holidays.
